As you are aware, any volunteer who may have any possible contact with children must comply with Archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements, including background checks, clearances, training, etc.
Become a Volunteer
VOLUNTEER CLEARANCES
A volunteer includes homeroom parents, lunch monitors, special lunch volunteers, library aids, field trip chaperones and CYO coaches and assistants.
In order to volunteer at MDP you must have all your clearances complete and up-to-date. Please find the list below of what needs to be completed.
1. PA State Police Criminal Background Check

2. PA Child Abuse Clearance

3. Federal Criminal History Record (Fingerprints)
This is for Volunteers who have not been PA residents for 10 years. To register please visit: https://uenroll.identogo.com/ code #1KG6ZJ
4. Pennsylvania Disclosure Statement Application
(only for Volunteers who have been PA residents for at least 10 years) This has to be renewed Every 5 years
5. Attendance at “Protecting God’s Children (PGC)-Awareness Sessions for Adults”
This is one time Clearance. Upcoming training sessions are listed here: www.virtus.org – click on Registration If you have already attended a safe environment training session, please let us know when and where you attended.
6. Signed “Standards for Ministerial Behavior” Acknowledgement Form
Acknowledgement form given to you at PGC training session
7. Technology Addendum Training
This is included in “Protecting God’s Children” after 7/1/11 if trained prior to 7/2011 see attached.
8. Mandated Reporter Training -This is a one-time training session.

Once you complete the assessment at the end, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from the Archdiocese. Print out the “Certificate of Completion” and bring a copy to the Parish Office.
Mandated Reporter Acknowledgment Download the link attached, read the Promise to Protect brochure, and sign the Acknowledgement form. Please bring a copy to the parish office as well.
